An all year round busy 52 seat restaurant with an outside terrace that seats another 35 covers which is open 7 days a week.
Our menu is made up of sharing plates which is how you would eat a meal in Thailand. These plates are served hot, spicy and full of flavour, exactly like you get on the streets and comes out when each dish is ready.
Forget rainbow curries you get at your corner Thai shop, each day at The Begging Bowl we make everything from scratch; our own coconut cream, curry pastes, sauces and desserts. Our charcoal grill, wok burner and ovens are fired up all day to produce food you won’t find anywhere else in London.
Chefs with no Asian training will be taught to breakdown ingredients with care and skill, and have the ability to expand their knowledge. We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our busy team in Peckham.
The head chef Jane Alty has been cooking for 20 years and specialised in Thai food while working for David Thompson at Michelin Starred restaurant Nahm at The Halkin Hotel in Belgravia.
