Sous chef Required at Sodexo in London

Reporting to the head Chef, Sodexo are looking for a great Sous Chef. This is an exciting role with great growth prospects, responsibility and with a great company! Excellent pay!

More detailed job specs are:

 Assist in the preparation, production, presentation and service of all meals, and ensure they are served at the correct times, within the Company's standards and to the agreed specifications.
 Assist in planning costed menu's to meet the foodservice offer.
 Assist in staff rostering and allocation of work details.
 Uphold the correct procedures in menu planning, ordering and stock control, order
supplies from Sodexho nominated suppliers.
 Ensure that all catering equipment within the kitchen, is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced. Report any faults to management/client, ensure they are rectified and ensure equipment is not used until safe.
 Ensure that temperatures of fridges, freezers and hot cupboards/serveries are monitored and recorded in line with company regulations and the Food Safety Act.
 Ensure that the control of raw materials and portions are to the Company's standards
and ensure all food is served at the correct temperatures.
 Receive and check in goods against invoice for quality and quality
 Ensure that all goods are quickly and correctly stored away on rotation system following the rule ‘first in, first out’ and comply with health & safety regulations
 Comply with all Sodexo Company policies/procedures and client site rules and
 Ensure that the Company's administration, documentation and procedures are carried
out to the Sodexho way compliance standards.
 Ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at
all times
 Assist in training members of the kitchen team and ensure all training is recorded on the
training record cards
 Ensure the areas under your control are left clean and tidy at all times
 Communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service, which Sodexo provide.
 Participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job responsibilities to the Company’s and Client’s standards e.g. health & safety, food hygiene.
 Work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Sodexo team
 Assist at any special ad-hoc functions, some of which may occur outside working hours.
 Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all
 Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or
other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate.
 Cover in other areas during periods of holidays and sickness.
 Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace.
