Floor staff Required at Association Coffee in London

Association Coffee has two positions open for Front of House, one part-time and one full-time. We are looking for people who have a passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to deliver a great customer experience.

We are an independent café with two stores located in the City, at EC3 and EC4. We make espresso and filter coffee and provide a small menu of baked goods from London’s top bakeries. We serve beans from Square Mile alongside a guest roaster which we rotate continuously throughout the year.

As a café we aim to be different in two simple ways:

  • We are specialised. We don’t make salads or soups or serve wine in the evening. We are coffee professionals and pride ourselves on being good at it. We believe that focussing is the path to being better.
  • We create stores that look and feel unique. Each store is designed to be engaging and an enjoyable space to spend time in.

Needless to say quality and attention to detail are the cornerstones of what we do. We were featured in ‘London Coffee’ by Hoxton Mini Press and Time Out described us as ‘The jewel in the City’s caffeinated crown’.

Role 1: Part-Time

This could be anything from 15-30 hours/ week. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving customers – processing orders, running coffees, fielding coffee related questions
  • Serving food – mostly cakes and pastries
  • Preparing tea and filter coffee – according to recipe/ training provided
  • Store presentation – keeping tables, bars and work areas prepped

Role 2: Full-Time

Responsibilities are similar to the part-time role, but it is intended to lead to a Supervisory/ Management Position for the right candidate. This is something that you can grow into with support and training. At the Supervisor level responsibilities include:

  • Supplier ordering and management
  • Upholding levels of customer service
  • Ensuring the store is organised and well presented
  • Assisting with staff rota
  • Other general store duties as required

Experience is valued but not required because we can teach you everything you need to know. All you need to bring is a natural tendency to be organised and the belief that whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well. We will hire more on personality and attitude.

For both roles this is an opportunity to join a professional and quality driven team and to build an expertise in Specialty Coffee.

Both shops are open Monday to Friday / closed on weekends and Bank Holidays. If this sounds like you, please get in touch, with a note outlining which role you are interested in.
