Lantana Café is an award winning Australian style café and restaurant group in central London serving delicious eat in and takeaway food. Since opening in 2008 we have grown to 3 central London locations and are consistently recognised as a leader in our field. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced chef for Lantana Fitzrovia, primarily specializing in our takeaway business. Ideally you would have service experience as well.
You will take the lead creating our delicious, healthy takeaway and catering dishes including seasonal salads (changing daily), boxed lunches, tarts, oven-baked salmon done with in house marinades and hot dishes such as lasagne and melanzane. This role is 5 days a week, daytime only (usually 6.30am to 3.30pm). No nights!! Depending on experience, this role includes 1 weekend service shift per week. It is a team effort and we like a bit of role rotation to keep things vibrant.
You must have at least 2 years experience in a senior chef de partie position, be well organised, creative, have high attention to detail, an ability to work independently and above all, have a genuine love of food and seasonal cooking. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced chef looking for an autonomous role who can help us push forward with an innovative and high quality offering.
